Mexican Death Match: Big Bubba defeated Hugh Morrus in 9:03: Early on, Morrus sends Bubba into the ring steps on the floor. Basically, there are several sexual references, that neither the forty year old woman seem to understand. Jeff, I didn’t catch his last name, is now interviewing a few of the woman who are in the competition.

“Boring” in the background from the crowd. We now go to several photos to become the Miss N-W-O.

*1/2īischoff and Ted DiBiase talk about “Miss N-W-O” competition. Yakuza kick by Chono to pick up the three count. Jericho goes up top, Chono meets him and simply shoves him off to the floor, through the table. Lionsault by Jericho for another two count. Jericho with a missile dropkick off the top and gets a two count. Chono sets up a table on the floor, and goes to suplex Jericho from the ring to the table, Jericho reverses the move into the ring. A botched top rope shoulder block I will assume. Reverse DDT by Chono and both men are down. Jericho comes back with a spinning back elbow to the chest of Chono, German suplex by Jericho for a two count. Jericho with several kicks to the body and head of Chono. Chono is with a rolling attack to the knee off the ropes, to the left knee of Jericho. Jericho charges towards Chono, but runs into the ring post when Chono moves. Jericho with a suplex, and proceeds to leap over the top rope to the floor onto Chono. Chono with a middle rope shoulder block on Jericho. Several WCW wrestlers, mostly tag team wrestlers, the Four Horsemen and many others are in the crowd. Masa Chono pinned Chris Jericho in 11:08: Chono with the advantage early on, sending Jericho to the floor. Nick Patrick a N-W-O employee will be referring all the matches. Only music for the N-W-O wrestlers, since this is a N-W-O pay per view. Should be noted, their isn’t any ring announcers, since Penzer is WCW. Hogan, Hall and Nash are on three different jumbo screens, where they babble on about the end of WCW for a moment.Įric Bischoff and Ted DiBiase will be commentating tonight. Now finally in the arena, Bischoff is standing at a podium. Which obviously focuses on everyone in the N-W-O and their takeover of WCW. Bischoff, Hall, Nash and Syxx talk about Giant and hype up the pay per view overall. Pretty good stuff overall.World Championship Wrestling/ New World Order Souled Out 1997īlack and white video of the New World Order arriving to the building on the back of big rigs with law enforcement behind them. WCW ref Randy Anderson jumps the guardrail and counts the 3! Steiners take the titles while Bischoff is besides himself on the headset. After a ref bump, Rick hits Hall with a top rope bulldog. Bischoff and Dibiase say something about Scott having a back injury, but the future Big Poppa Pump wasn't showing any ill effects- particularly impressive was a T-Bone suplex on Nash where he absolutely launched the 7 footer. The hot tag still gets received well, and Scott comes in blazing to show off his incredible strength. Hall and Nash isolate Rick, and maybe the beatdown goes a little too long, as the crowd (and me) get a bit restless rather than anxious for Scott to get the tag. I think that's something that made the nWo work well- sure, they were a heel faction, but they were still credible and dangerous when you strip away the cheating and other shenanigans. They dominate early on with a mix of big power moves and underhanded tactics. There's no denying how cool Hall and Nash were at this time. Thoughts: We enter the star portion of the show.
